Six year old Cristal Bonus took the spoils for Paul Nicholls winning by nine lengths at Down Royal. This wasn't the strongest of races and the win didn't see any sizebale move in the Champion Chase betting or the Ryanair Chase.

This was an impressive 20+ length win for the Colin Tizzard trained Cue Card who was clipped in for the Queen Mother Champion Chase as a result. The feeling is the horse will run in the King George over three miles, so time will tell whether the two mile champion race will be on the schedule come March.

It's highly likely that the winner Flemenstar will be campaigned over longer tips than two miles and he is amongst the favourites for the Gold Cup next March. This was an impressive win however with excellent jumping he lead from the off and beat the ex-Champion Chaser Big Zeb by seven lengths in the end.

This was as an emphatic win you could imagine for the Queen Mother Champion Chase favourite Sprinter Sacre who won by fifteen lengths on the bridle. He's now as short as 1/2 favourite for next March's champion two mile chase.
